Male', MALDIVES - Victory head coach Mauroof Ahmed (Maattey) stated Victory is hungry for this year’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi League and they always win deciding games. Maattey’s comment came after their 2 nil win over Vyansa yesterday and the win took Victory to the top of the league with a relatively good margin ahead of arch rivals.

“Victory is hungry for the league” He said during the post match news conference.

“Victory always wins deciding games” He added.

Vyansa coach Marzooq (Marey) also said he never remembers Victory losing a deciding game in his football career.

“Since I was a player until now, I never saw Victory losing a deciding game and I have explained it to my players” Marey said after tasting his first defeat in four matches at the helm of Vyansa.

When asked Maattey about how much pressure they have on the results of other teams in the league, he replied: “No team can put Victory into pressure, it’s Victory that goes under pressure by itself”

With two matches to play Victory are now with 21 points and arch rivals like New Radiant and VB sports are with 16 and 15 points respectively and three games to play.

Victory’s remaining games will be against Maziya and New Radiant.
